Indian River County, Florida Natural Gas Expansion Project

 
When Florida City Gas needed to increase its capacity to better serve the needs of the central and southern sections of Indian River County, it turned to Peninsula Pipeline Company (PPC). Together, the two companies will expand gas service into this growing area of the state.

PPC will install a 15-mile intrastate pipeline that will connect with the major interstate pipeline just west of I-95 in the Fellsmere, Florida area. When completed, the line will extend west on SR 512 into downtown Fellsmere and east to interconnect with Florida City Gas’ natural gas distribution system. The expansion of its natural gas distribution system will allow Florida City Gas to better serve residential, commercial and industrial customers in the central and southern sections of Indian River County and will help the company keep up with demand for clean burning natural gas.
