FLORIDA NATURAL GAS EXPANSION PROJECT | Completed

When Florida City Gas (FCG) needed to increase its capacity to better serve the needs of the central and southern sections of Indian River County, it turned to Peninsula Pipeline (PPC). Together, the two companies expanded gas service into this growing area of the state.

PPC installed a 15-mile intrastate pipeline that connected with the major interstate pipeline just west of I-95 in the Fellsmere, Florida area. The line extends west on SR 512 into downtown Fellsmere and east to interconnect with FCG’s natural gas distribution system. The expansion of its natural gas distribution system allows FCG to better serve residential, commercial and industrial customers in the central and southern sections of Indian River County and helps the Company keep up with demand for clean burning natural gas.
