Winter Haven Expansion

FLORIDA NATURAL GAS EXPANSION PROJECT | Completed 2022

In May 2021, Peninsula Pipeline (PPC) entered into a Transportation Service Agreement with Florida Public Utilities (FPU) for incremental firm service in the Winter Haven, Florida area. As part of this agreement, Peninsula Pipeline constructed a new interconnect with Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) and a new regulator station. The additional firm service is used to support new incremental load due to growth in the area, including providing service to a new can manufacturing facility, as well as reliability and operational benefits to FPU’s existing distribution system in the area. In connection with PPC’s new regulator station, FPU also extended its distribution system to connect to the new station. The expansion was completed and placed into service in August 2022.
